Woodcock Walk

Event Summary

The American woodcock mating ritual is truly a remarkable sight. This small, camouflage, timber nesting bird has a few strange attributes and will amaze hikers with its aerial acrobat moves!

Join Dubuque, Jackson and Jones County Naturalists for an evening hike to search for this special bird. Keep an eye to the skies to witness the American Woodcock perform their sky dance mating ritual.

Free event and all ages are welcome.

Dress for the weather and be prepared to hike a short distance.
