Talk & Walk: Amphibian Citizen Science
JOHNSON COUNTY EDUCATION PROGRAMS, Johnson County
Friday, May 3, 2024
NOTICE: this event has been moved from its original date of April 26 due to severe weather predictions.
What is citizen science, and why is it important? Join a JCC naturalist to learn the basics. Discover what opportunities are available right here in Johnson County. We will focus on a program that is designed to collect data on the breeding patterns of frogs and toads. After the indoor learning portion of this program, participants will embark on a nighttime hike in which we will demonstrate how to conduct a frog and toad survey.
Registration automatically closes one day in advance. If you are fully registered, you can expect to receive an email "receipt" from MyCountyParks after registration. You will also receive an email from the leading naturalist a couple days in advance of the program. If you do not receive these emails, you may not be registered; call 319-645-1011 for assistance in this case.
JCC is committed to providing equal opportunity for participation in all programs, services and activities. We welcome and encourage people with disabilities to attend programs and events. Accommodations may be requested by contacting naturalist staff at 319-645-1011 or jccnaturalists@gmail.com
