Kossuth

Patterson Recreation Area is a 303 acre public hunting area.  It offers a public boat ramp to the East Fork Des Moines River, access to a rock dam in the river, uplands, and wetlands.  Excellent catfish and walleye fishing is available in the river.  A 40 acre wetland is managed for waterfowl.  This area is divided by the river and by County Road B19.

Patterson Recreation Area is located about 2.5 miles east of Burt on County Road B19 (300th St.).
