Madison

Middle River Park used to serve as the Winterset City Park, but was prone to flooding.  The City park was moved north, and the park was reopened as a county park several years later.  Middle River Park has Water Trail access with a ramp to the Middle River, two geocache courses, a lodge, bathrooms, several grills and picnic tables, and a walking trail.

Location

Middle River County Park is located just south of Winterset on John Wayne Drive, directly across from the Madison County Conservation Board office.
