Wreath Making
DEC 05 2019 6:30 PM
Event Summary
Kick off the holiday season by creating an evergreen wreath for your front door with Marshall County Conservation Naturalist Emily Herring. During wreath construction, participants will also learn about the history of wreaths, common types of evergreen found in Iowa, and how to properly harvest evergreen from trees. We ask that kids under the age of 14 have an adult present to help them complete the wreath. At the end of the session, participants will take home a wreath that will serve as a warm welcome to anyone who knocks on their front door this winter! Participants must register and pay registration fee of $25 before November 20 at 4:00 at the Grimes Farm and Conservation Center to reserve limited spots. To register call 641-752-5490, email mccb@marshallcountyia.gov or text 641-758-9777.
