This is a primitive, walk-in camping area at the Saulsbury Bridge Recreation Area. Fees are $10 per night.

The Tent Camping area is along Chicken Creek, just off the East end of the main campground. Guests can utilize the shower house and firewood shed in the main campground. There are not designated sites in the tent camping area, visitors can self-pay at the kiosk near the shower house, and set-up their tent wherever they choose in the tent area.

Note: Tents are allowed in the Main Campground and River Campground also - however you must pay the rate for the site you are occupying.

The Muscatine County Conservation Board is located in southeast Iowa, with the Mississippi River bordering the county on the east, and the Cedar River meandering through the center. The Muscatine CCB maintains 11 areas totaling 1,755 acres for public access. These areas include cabins, campgrounds, the Environmental Learning Center, a beach, Cedar River accesses, hiking/biking trails, wildlife areas, lakes, wetlands, and prairies.
