Four Mile Creek Greenbelt
This 102-acre wildlife area on Four Mile Creek is a half-mile south of Berwick. The Greenbelt is an ideal location to hike, fish, mushroom hunt, and bird watch. Parking access on NE 54th Avenue offers access to hikers wishing to explore this undeveloped area

- Summer Hours (April 1 -October 31) | 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.
- The north side of Easter Lake Park is open sunrise to sunset year-round.
- Fort Des Moines Park is open 8 a.m. to sunset year-round.
- Winter Hours (November 1 - March 31) | Sunrise to sunset
Closures
Many exciting park and trail improvements are happening in
Polk County thanks in part to the Polk County Water and Land Legacy bond
referendum that was supported by voters in November of 2012. This may result in
closed recreation areas due to construction. We encourage the public to
stay involved and updated on these improvements by regularly visiting our
