Kokesh Recreation Area is a 15 acre timber located one mile south of Diagonal. This “off the beaten path” park offers a more secluded setting for those looking to get away from the crowd.                

Kokesh Recreation Area offers a campground, shelter house, restroom, a new modern playground and a renovated pond and water garden. A variety of activities await your family at this special area that will keep you coming back.                

Longtime Diagonal residents, Fred and Pearl Kokesh donated this area to the Conservation Board in 1972. Kokesh Park, fondly known locally as “Pearl’s Puddle” offers camping, fishing, hiking, bird watching and so much more!
