Biking at Sandy Hollow Recreation Area There is a 3 mile hard surface biking trail that leads from Sandy Hollow to the city of Sioux Center.
Camping at Sandy Hollow Recreation Area There are 37 campsites at this area, sites range from electric only to full hook ups. A modern comfort station, along with a sewer dump is available to campers. There is also playground equipment and lots of open space for yard games.
Facility Rentals at Sandy Hollow Recreation Area The old clubhouse at Sandy Hollow is used for rental space for parties of 150 persons. This facility is a great place to host family reunions, wedding receptions, and other large gatherings. Reservations are taken by calling 712-552-1047.
Fishing at Sandy Hollow Recreation Area Sandy Hollow has two small ponds that are open to fishing, weather it be from shore or ice fishing you are bound to catch something. The ponds have been stocked with catfish, large mouth bass, bluegills, walleyes, and crappie.
Other Activities at Sandy Hollow Recreation Area With spacious area to explore there is plenty of other outdoor activity including; yard games, ball games, catch, picnicking, basketball, volleyball, horseshoe pit, bird watching and exploring may all be done. There is also an outdoor and indoor archery range at this area. Range is open to the public upon paying fee to shoot, indoor range is open to members only. Picnicking at Sandy Hollow Recreation Area There are a couple of open shelters available for use on a first come first served basis for picnicking along with open space for picnics and yard games.
Swimming at Sandy Hollow Recreation Area Swimming is allowed at Sandy Hollow in designated area only.
Winter Activities at Sandy Hollow Recreation Area There are many fun activities to do at Sandy Hollow during the winter months. From snowshoeing, ice fishing, and enjoy the outdoors.
