Beginner Beekeeping

Wayne Scott has over 12 years of experience in the beekeeping field and currently operates 40 beehives across 7 apiaries in Southern Iowa. The past three years, Wayne has been teaching newcomers the basics of beekeeping. This class will help you answer questions on how to successfully begin bee keeping and to become sustainable from year to year using your own bees. The course is 12 hours of classroom lecture and 3 hours of field work in actual bee hives. 

When: Every Thursday from January 9th-February 13th

Time: 6:30-8:30PM 

Cost: $45 (due at the first day of class)

Please register by January 2nd! Registration is required!

Attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
