Fall Fest Activities

Event Summary

Visit the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center and participate in one or all of the following activities along with the other amazing events happening in Sioux City this weekend. All our events are free and open to the public. For more information call 712-258-0838 or email camps@woodburyparks.org. ·        

1:30 p.m. - Snakes Program: Come meet the Nature Center’s snakes. These educational ambassadors will help you learn about these interesting animals. ·        

3:00-5:00 p.m. - Campfire Snacks & Fall Games: Stop by the amphitheater for campfire snacks including s’mores, hot cocoa, and apple cider. Challenge your friends and family in some fun fall games or get creative with some fall-inspired crafts. ·        

5:00 p.m. - Fall Hike: Meet by the amphitheater for a fall hike through the trees. Find out what causes the leaves to change color and how to identify trees by their leaves. We’ll  hike for 30 minutes to 1 hour. ·        

7:00 p.m. – Evening Hike: Meet by front doors to the Nature Center and join us for a sunset hike. Learn how to find your way around as the sun goes down. Be prepared to hike for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
