Moonlight Snowshoe Hike

Event Summary
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center. Join Resource Naturalist Tyler Flammang for an evening snowshoe hike by moonlight. We will begin the evening with an introduction to the sport of snowshoeing, followed by a snowshoe hike to the top of Mt. Lucia to view the rising moon. There must be at least 4 inches of snow on the ground for us to snowshoe. A winter hike will take place if there is not 4 inches of snow. Please dress in layers and wear snow boots or hiking boots. Feel free to bring your own snowshoes, trekking poles and a headlamp if you choose. Ages 8 and up. The Nature Center has a limited number of snowshoes available to participants.
