Edgerton Reserve

Edgerton Reserve is 32 acres of lowland prairie and flood plain forest.  It is found immediately west of the Franta Wildlife Area.  Within the park boundaries is a limestone rock face outcropping which is a unique feature to the park and likely contains some fossil remnants as well.  The area is ideal for hiking as well as hunting and provides a number of outdoor activities for the outdoor enthusiast.  Bird watchers will find non-game species in the park and hunters will find white tailed deer and turkey as well as upland game birds in the grassland areas in the park.

Running adjacent to the park boundary is Spring Creek Road, a hard surface road which makes access to the park only a a short walk.

Park boundaries may not be clearly marked in all locations within the park so please be aware of park boundaries and respect private property.
