Prescott Prairie
Prescott Prairie is a 6 acre remnant tallgrass
prairie along State Highway 3 east of Cherokee, Iowa. This prairie fragment has never been plowed and contains
a beautiful and diverse plant community. The land was donated to the county by
Leo Prescott and his sister Edna. Parking is limited, but a walk through this
prairie in the summer is unforgettable.
Hunting is permitted.
