Hanging Rock shelter house is open-air and is first-come/first-serve.
The shelter house also may be reserved for $35 by calling Dallas County Conservation Board at 515-465-3577.

• From the intersection of Thomas St and 1st Street, go west on Thomas St for 2 blocks.
• Turn south on 3rd St to the park entrance.
Hours
In May-October, Hanging
Rock hours are 8:00am-10:00pm daily. Restrooms are open.
In November-April,
Hanging Rock hours are 8:00am-5:00pm daily. Restrooms are closed.
