Sutcliffe Woodland is a beautiful, 55-acre oak-hickory area designated as a wildlife refuge. It offers a 31-post, self-guided interpretive nature trail, as well as picnicking, hiking, and pond fishing.

Location

Frost Trail - Guthrie Center, Iowa

(7 miles west and 1.5 miles south of Guthrie Center.  Follow the road signs.)

Operating Hours & Seasons

Basic GCCB Park Rules

  • Parks open at 6:00 a.m.
  • Parks close at 10:30 p.m.
  • Park in designated areas.
  • Fires, Wastes - use containers provided.
  • Keep pets on leash.
  • Do not pick any wildflowers.
  • All State and Federal Laws apply to county areas.
  • Speed limit is 15 m.p.h.
  • Hunting in designated areas only.
  • Keg Beer—Permit required.

Please note:  This is a wildlife refuge.  No hunting allowed except for pond fishing.
