Welcome to Hamilton County!
The Hamilton County Conservation is located in central Iowa and manages 16 individual parks, wildlife areas, and river accesses - collectively encompassing over 1,700 acres. In addition, several major creeks and the Boone River flow through the county providing numerous water recreation opportunities. Briggs Woods Park was the first county park in Iowa - with land donated to the people of Hamilton County in 1919....preceding the state park system by one year.

EXTRA TENT: Sites allow up to 10 people per unit. We do not allow to double up sites. An extra tent can be erected on the same site as another camping unit as long as the occupants are children and under the age of 18. Please contact us if you have any further questions. Enjoy your camping!
PETS are not allowed in cabins or shelters. Pets in the campground must be on a leash, no longer than 6 feet, at all times.
