Join us at the Maple Picnic Shelter for a night hike as we observe and discuss the night sky together. We will discuss some popular phone APPS that make it easy for anyone to find constellations and planets in the night sky. Free night sky maps will be available for those who attend. We will explore the universe as we observe stars, constellations, planets, moon craters, and orbiting satellites. Bring your curiosity, binoculars, and a flashlight to the Maple Shelter and join the talk and hike. We will hike the park grounds and the trail north of the solar panels on our hike. We may try to call some barred owls as we when we are on the hiking trail. We will have a limited number of flash lights and red covers for people so feel free to bring your own flashlight. This program is for all ages of people who are curious about the night sky and like to hike at night. The program is limited to the first 80 people who register.
