This 20-acre area was added to the Mills County Conservation Board’s publicly accessible areas with assistance from the local Fremont-Mills chapter of Pheasants Forever. The area consists of previously established Quail and Riparian Buffer strips as well as general green space and river bottom timber. The Fisher Wildlife Area provides habitat for wildlife, access to the West Nishnabotna River for recreationists, and is open to public hunting.

Location

Located roughly 2.5 miles east of Malvern on north side of Lambert Ave (H38) along the west side of the West Nishnabotna River.

Operating Hours & Seasons

Open Year round.
Daily:
5:30 AM - 10:30 PM
Hunting and trapping seasons as regulated by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
