What type of fish species do you have in Lake Miami?
We have four different fish species. We have Blugills, Crappies, Largemouth Bass and Catfish.
Does Lake Miami Park have visitation hours?
Yes. The campgrounds and park closes at 10 p.m. everyday except for fisherman and guests staying at our park.
Is the Monroe County Shooting Range open to the public?
Open shoots for the public will be available from the Spring - Fall, weather permitting. Open shoots are hosted generally one night a week (Thursdays). There are fees associated with use of the facility. For more information please contact Mark Carlton at (641) 777-7883.
Does Lake Miami Park have any shelters available to reserve for events?
Yes. We have one enclosed shelter that has a fireplace as well as multiple picnic tables to use. We have two other outdoor shelters available for rent.

Typically we are open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

What are your prices for everything?
Cabins:
April 1 - Sept. 30: $85 for the 1st night plus tax, each additional night is $80 plus tax - Two night minimum
Oct. 1 - March 31: $70 for 1st night plus tax, each additional night $65 plus tax - Two night minimum
Shelters:
Enclosed Shelter $50 per day
Elkview or Lakeview Shelter $25 per day
Camping Rates:
- Full Hook-up $22 per night
- Electric Only (Camper or Tent) - $17 per night
- Primitive Camping(No Electricity) - $12 per night

What is MCCB reservation cancellation policy?
All reservations cancellation are possible but are subject being covered by the deposit amount. Camping reservations are only allowed during holidays at Lake Miami Park otherwise are first come first serve.
Can you use fireworks at Lake Miami, Lake Miami Park or any other MCCB property?
No. We do not allow any consumer fireworks to be used in any form at any of our MCCB properties. Iowa Code states that people can use consumer fireworks on real property (private) unless a land owner allows people to use consumer fireworks on their property.
