You can find the prickly pear cactus and ornate box turtle along with a variety of more common prairie species. Bring your camera and your binoculars - as you are sure to need them both.
Picnicking at Eddyille Sand Dunes Prairie Just off the parking lot and hiking trail there is a small, open shelter with four picnic tables. No trash receptacles are provided, so please carry out all your trash.
Trails & Hiking at Eddyille Sand Dunes Prairie A 1.3 mile lime chip trail will lead you around this rare and beautiful habitat as you search for prickly pear cactus, ornate box turtles, butterflies, birds and more. Along the trail you will also find educational signs to help you learn more about the area.
