Education at Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center
Woodbury County Conservation Board has provided outdoor & environmental education since 1988. Our full-time staff is dedicated to developing quality environmental educational programming for all ages. Check out the
Events Calendar for fascinating and exciting program opportunities in our county parks and at the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center. You may be exploring a prairie, wading through a wetland, catching a fish or searching for birds in no time.
School Programs are available on a variety of topics and for any age group. Field trips can be held at the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center, at one of our county parks, or we can visit your classroom.
A nominal fee is charge for these programs to help defray costs. Scholarships may be available.
Youth Groups such as scouts, 4-H and others can schedule a program to assist with their goals in earning badges or providing service projects. A fee is charge for these programs.
Civic Groups and Service Clubs are encouraged to request a presentation for a group meeting. A variety of topics are available. A donation is requested and any donations will go to our scholarship fund for schools.
Public Programs are offered each month of the year. These programs are designed to encourage the exploration of our natural areas. Fees sometimes may apply. View the Events Calendar or sign-up for our e-list to receive program information by emailing dsnyder@woodburycountyiowa.gov.
