Brown’s Lake—Bigelow Park– Fish species: northern pike, bluegill, crappie, channel catfish, bullhead; 580 acre lake; fair shoreline access; fishing dock; fish cleaning station

Little Sioux Park - Fish species: largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish; 13 acre lake; good shoreline access; fish cleaning station

Little Sioux River at Little Sioux Park, Copeland Park and Walling Access has fair public access and Inkpaduta Access has poor access

Shagbark Hills – Fish species: largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish; One-acre lake with fair shoreline access

Midway Park – Fish species: largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish; good shoreline access

Snyder Bend Park - Fish species: largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish, crappie; 400 acre lake; fair shoreline access; fish cleaning station; handicap fishing access

Southwood Conservation Area – Fish species: largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, channel catfish; 14 acre lake; fair shoreline access

Fishing Licenses are for sale at Brown's Lake—Bigelow Park, Little Sioux Park and Southwood Conservation Area.

Picnic sites are available at:

Open shelters are found at Brown's Lake—Bigelow Park, Snyder Bend Park, Fowler Forest Preserve or Little Sioux Park. Open shelters cannot be reserved.

Enclosed picnic shelters at Little Sioux Park and Brown's Lake—Bigelow Park can be rented for a fee. Call the Resource Manager in each respective park to rent the enclosed shelters. See Facility Rentals.

Trails & Hiking Trails & Hiking at Fowler Forest

Hiking trails are found at Fowler Forest Preserve, Little Sioux Park, Snyder Bend Park, Southwood Conservation Area and the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center.

Concrete bike trails
are located at Little Sioux Park and Snyder Bend Park.

Self-guided nature trails
are located at the Southwood Conservation Area and the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center. A suspension bridge is found at Southwood Conservation Area.
