Giving Tuesday Remnant Prairies of Don Williams Park

This year for Giving Tuesday we are raising funds to research, restore, and protect the newly discovered prairie remnants at Don williams Park. By funding this project you are helping in Boone County Conservations mission, "To protect, conserve, and maintain our natural resources and provide education and recreation for the benefit of current and future generations."

Our Goals:

- Partner with Drake University to do a plant species inventory of the property.

- To acquire funds needed to acquire equipment for management of the area. This includes removal of invasives and seed collection.

- To build signage showing where the remnant is located.

You can make a difference in helping us restore Iowa's natural heritage for the future generations of Boone County.
