How long can I stay at Rock Creek?
Camping stay is limited to 14 consecutive days. You may return for another stay after 7 days away from the park.
How many tents/campers can be on one site?
You can have 2 tents on a site or 1 camper and 1 tent.
General Questions
Do you sell fishing/hunting licenses?
Iowa fishing and hunting licenses are available at the camp store. For more information on Iowa hunting and fishing regulations, go to the
Iowa DNR website.
Do you rent boats?
We rent canoes and kayaks by the hour.
What are the hours for the Eco Tourism Center at Rock Creek?
The hours are the Eco Center change depending on the time of the year. Current winter hours are Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and typically run from November 1st- Early April. Please call the Eco Center at 563-259-1876 to check on current hours.
Is the Showerhouse open year round?
No. The showerhouse is closed October-April.
What are the rules for pets?
All pets must be on a leash 6 ft or less. We ask that you please clean up after your pet. No pets are allowed in the Eco Center or the Showerhouse.
Where can we fish?
You can fish anywhere from the shore. Fishing off of the docks is not allowed.
What are the park hours?
The park is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Quiet hours between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. All guests must leave by 10 p.m.
Can I used a golf cart or 4 wheeler in your park?
No, our roads are considered public right aways. This means that only licensed vehicles can be operated on our roadways.
Reserving a Facility
How do I make a reservation for the Hall in the Eco Center at Rock Creek?
Reservations may be made on the my county parks website or you can call the camp store at 563-259-1876 to schedule a time to look at the facility, fill out a contract, and book a date.

What hours can the Hall in the Eco Center be rented for?
The hall is available 8am-10 pm.
