Monarch Tagging during Fall Migration
AUG 29 2020 10:00 AM
Event Summary
Join the naturalist to learn about the amazing multi-generational migration of monarch butterflies, the important role of Iowa habitats in that story, and the role you can play as citizen scientists.
Wear clothing to walk through the prairie (long pants and sturdy shoes recommended). Access to the prairie is through the roadside ditch and there are only vaguely defined trails where others have walked.
Each person will be provided their own net. Tagging is an up-close activity and masks are required during the tagging but not during the socially distanced catching.
No restroom facilities at Bryantsburg.
