The Eden Valley pack-in sites are remotely located in the beautiful "Back Valley" of Eden Valley Refuge. Pack-in sites are accessible only via a 1/2 mile hike. All supplies including water must be packed in. A fire ring/grill and picnic table are provided. A pit toilet and refuse container are also located in the pack-in camping area.
Location
Located 1/2 mile from the back valley trail head. The trail head is on the north side of Bear Creek, just off of the county road. Campers must pack all of their camping supplies 1/2 mile to the back valley camping sites. Please see the park map for location of the primitive pack-in camping area.

Amenities
The pack-in campsites are primitive sites. There is one picnic table and one fire ring/grill per site. A pit toilet is located in the pack-in camping area. All trash must be carried out.

$15/night payable by Visa or Mastercard. Sorry, but we are currently unable to accept Discover cards.
Weekends require a 2 night minimum stay
Holidays require a 3 night minimum stay

Open year-round.
Quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
A nearby pit latrine is available for use
The Nature Center shower facility (year-round) or campground shower facility (seasonal) may be utilized by guests

Rental Contract Agreement
1. The person responsible must be at least 18 years of age.
2. No
minors are to be left unattended.
3. Please be courteous and
notify the office if you are not going to use the campsite.
4. If
YOU decide to cancel, there is no refund.
5. Check in time is
3:00 PM. Check out time is 1:00 PM.
6. Campers must restore the
campsite to the same approximate condition as existed when they found
it.
7. Carry out all trash with you.
8.
No camping party may occupy any campground for more than 14
consecutive days. The camping party must then vacate the campground
for 7 days before returning to that campground.
9. All campers
must maintain quiet in campgrounds during the hours of 10:00 PM to
6:00 AM.
10. Campers must remain in their respective campsites
between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM Only one vehicle per
campsite.
11. All Clinton County Conservation Board
rules and regulations
and laws of the state of Iowa will be enforced.
Cancellation Policy
Please contact the Clinton County Conservation Board as soon as
possible if you need to cancel.
SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO
CANCEL A RESERVATION, YOU WILL FORFEIT 100% OF ALL RESERVATION FEES
PAID.
Youth Group Rules
Organized youth groups (scouts, 4H, church groups, etc)
may
receive a discounted rate by contacting the Clinton County
Conservation Department before making an online reservation
to
confirm your eligibility. Phone the Clinton County Conservation
Department at 563-847-7202 to confirm discount. If you choose to make
a reservation without phoning first, you will pay full price.
Refund Policy
Please understand at the time of booking your reservation that you
immediately prohibit other people from reserving & utilizing that
facility - they therefore go elsewhere to locate a facility for that
date. We will observe a
NON-REFUNDABLE
reservation fee policy
with the following exceptions:
Accident, serious injury or death
of an immediate family member
Travel conditions where a
substantial risk is required in order to travel such as a winter
storm where a travel advisory has been issued
We are unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in
operable condition for the date of your event
ALL cancellations or requests for refunds
cannot be done
online and must be made by calling the Conservation Office at
(563) 847-7202.
DATE CHANGES
All date changes must
be made by calling the Conservation Office at (563) 847-7202.
Recognize that we must first administratively cancel your existing
online reservation, and then create a second reservation for the new
date.
An Administrative Fee of $25 will be assessed
to
complete this transaction. Please consider this procedure prior to
making your initial reservation.
