Shelter 2 is an open air shelter with electricity, water hydrant, tables, charcoal grill, wood cooking stove facilities, ball field, playground and an odorless pit latrine nearby.
Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 08:00 AM and check-out is before 09:00 PM.
Location This shelter is located in Briggs Woods Park. Follow the road into the park, past the campground continuing up the hill. This open shelter is located on the left at the top of the hill where the pavement ends.

- Reservations may be made up to TWO YEARS in advance.
- Rental must be in the name of a person that is 18 years of age or older who will be present at the facility for the full term of the reservation. (21 years of age is there is to be wine or beer present at the event)
Hours of Operation & Seasons
Shelter 2 is a seasonal facility, available for reservations from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily from April 1 thru October 31.
- Park Hours are 5:00 am to 10:30 pm
- Reservations should plan to have their event concluded, cleaned-up and exit the park by 10:30 pm

Closures
This shelter is not available for reservation after October 31 and prior to April 1 on an annual basis.
Permits
- All laws of the State of Iowa are in effect.
- Smoking is prohibited
- Keg beer is prohibited without an agreement and having paid a $100 fee
- Tables must remain inside the shelter
- Clean-up of facility must be completed no later than 10:00 pm
