    Rental Contract Agreement

    By your agreement with these terms and conditions, you represent that you are 18 years or older (21 years of age if beer or wine will be available at your campsite) and that you are authorized to make the reservation on behalf of the camping party you have listed. You further agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence or omissions of the members of your group while utilizing said facilities. You are reserving a facility in a Johnson County Conservation Board park. ALL COUNTY PARK RULES AND STATE LAWS ARE ENFORCED. Failure to clean up the facility or surrounding area as outlined, or failure to comply with park rules or state laws may result in enforcement action. Johnson County Conservation may take any legal action necessary to recover damages to county property. Check in Time is 2:00 p.m. on day of arrival, Check-Out Time is 12:00 p.m. on day of departure. Contact the Park Office if you have any questions about park rules, policies, or any special request (319-645-2315).

     

    1. The site must be registered under the name of an adult person who will occupy the site
    2. One camping unit per campsite is allowed with an additional tent allowed for dependent children
    3. Check in Time is 2:00 p.m. on day of arrival, Check-Out Time is 12:00 p.m. on day of departure.
    4. Trees or shrubs may not be cut or damaged in any way.
    5. All campers are expected to keep their campsite clean and in an orderly manner at all times.
    6. Guests must be out of the park by 10:30 PM.
    7. All campers shall maintain quiet and remain in their respective campgrounds between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and sunrise
    8. Fires are allowed in designated receptacles only. Trash must be placed in the dumpster
    9. Park Rangers are given the authority to refuse rental privileges and rescind any and all rental permits for cause.
    10. All rules and regulations of Johnson County Conservation Board facilities and parks are in effect.

    Hills Access & Campground is a popular 40-acre park along the Iowa River, onehalf mile east of the town of Hills. Substantial river shoreline provides good fishing access to the Iowa River. Hills Access & Campground is also along the Iowa River Water Trail and is a popular ending or launch point for paddlers enjoying the river. 

    Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 02:00 PM and check-out is before 11:00 AM.

    The Johnson County Conservation Board manages 23 parks, preserves, conservation areas and river accesses, encompassing some 2,700 acres across the county. They manage natural resources and outdoor recreation areas throughout the county - several native prairies, river access areas, small community parks, trails, and the 1,062 acre F.W. Kent Park, 15 miles west of Iowa City.
