PLEASE NOTE: Due to low water levels, the swimming beach at Little Sioux Park near Correctionville will remain closed until further notice. Low water levels have reduced the zero-entry beach area causing sudden drop-offs and unsafe swimming conditions. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Heritage Shelter is a fully-accessible, enclosed facility overlooking the 10-acre lake at Little Sioux Park. It accommodates up to 150 people and features beautiful wood interior, a stone fireplace, 40 picnic tables, 5 serving tables, modern restrooms, and a food service area with countertops, sink & refrigerator. Just outside is a concrete patio with a perfect view of the lake, 6 picnic tables, 2 double barbecue grills, horseshoe pits, ample parking, and a playground area for the kids. Fishing access, a swimming beach, an open sports area, and a 1.75 mile multi-use concrete trail are also located nearby.
Heritage Shelter is available to rent between May 1st and October 31st for $150 for the full day. You do not have to use the shelter for the entire duration of the rental; however, the fees are not reduced for partial use. Reservations are taken up to two years in advance.
PLEASE NOTE: There are NO REFUNDS for cancellations; however, you will have one opportunity to reschedule your reservation upon payment of a $25 administrative fee.
Firewood is available for purchase.
