Candy Cane Hike / A Christmas in the City Event

Briggs Woods Park and Golf Course, Hamilton County

Saturday, December 6, 2025

Come and hike the Woodland and Prairie Trail by Shelter 2 at Briggs Woods Park with the County Naturalist.

Search for hidden Candy Canes hanging on trees, bushes, and logs.

Tony Streigle, with Webster City Church of Christ will tell the legend of the Candy Cane.

John Laird, Naturalist, will point out any wildlife that the group encounters along the hike.

Please register so we can plan on how many candy canes to hang on the trees for the kids to pick.

Dress appropriately for the cold weather conditions.

The hike starts promptly at 2 pm only. There is a limited number of candy canes to gather and participants must share the picking of candy canes with others.

Hot Cocoa and cookies will be provided at Shelter 2 compliments of Webster City Church of Christ after the hike.
