Bee Keeping Basics

Briggs Woods Park and Golf Course, Hamilton County

Friday, July 25, 2025

We will be having Mark Moberly of Mobeez a local bee keeper present on the basics of bee keeping. We hope to have a live bee observation hive for people to view. We will also have raw honey for people to sample or purchase. We will be discussing what can be done in city limits and out of the city limits for bee keeping. We will be discussing the benefits of raising bees and eating local honey. Honey can also be substituted for sugar sometimes when cooking. Some honey recipes for cooking will be available for people. Bee keeper concerns and costs will be discussed in this presentation. John will also mention some of the flowering plants that bees prefer if you choose to plant a butterfly garden in your yard, The program is limited to 80 people so be sure to register online.
