Muscatine County Conservation is located in eastern Iowa, with the Mississippi River bordering the County. The Cedar River meanders through the center of the county, providing diverse and beautiful parks and wildlife areas. The Muscatine County Conservation Board maintains 11 areas totaling 1,755 acres.
Discovery Park in Muscatine is the premier park. It is where the Environmental Learning Center is located, which also contains our offices and a large classroom space. 
Saulsbury Bridge Recreation Area is another very popular park. This area features a campground, the Saulsbury Lodge, reservable picnic shelters, Cedar River Access, and wildlife habitat/hunting. 
Deep Lakes Park is one of our newest areas. This old gravel quarry contains approximately 120 acres of deep, clear water lakes which is popular for fishing and paddling. The area has a swimming beach, four reservable cabins, and part of the Greater Muscatine Bicycle Trail system.
Public hunting is allowed at Saulsbury, Pike Run, Cedar Bluffs, Richardson, and Shield Prairie. We have a great mix of upland timber, prairie, wetlands, ponds, lakes, and woodlands to explore.
