Lookout shelter is an enclosed shelter that is open year round by reservation only.
Reservations can be made by calling 712-263-2748 up to one year in advance.
Lookout Shelter features 24 6-foot picnic tables, a kitchen with sinks, stove, microwave, refrigerator, heat and a/c, and modern restrooms.
Accommodates approximately 150 people.

Located at Yellow Smoke park on the hill overlooking the beach and lake.
Amenities
The Lookout Shelter accomodates approximately 150 people and has air conditioning and heat. There is an attached kitchen/serving area with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffeepot, and sink.

Rental Contract Agreement
If the User cancels anytime prior to the event date, a raincheck will be issued to be used within 1 year. If the CCCB must cancel, all of the event rental fee and deposit will be refunded. All tenting must be approved in advance. Any alcohol must be consumed from original cans or bottles. Keg beer and hard liquor are prohibited. Music must be kept to a reasonable level and must end by 10:00 p.m. The shelter must be left in an orderly condition. The CCCB is not responsible for theft and any other damage to any vehicle, possessions therin, during, prior or after event. The park closes at 10:30 p.m. If there is any delay in vacating the Shelter, including cleanup, by 10:30 p.m., the User may be charged an additional $50 per each 15 minute period, which will be deducted from the security deposit. Should the User be found in violation of any of the provisions of this Rental Agreement, CCCB rep. shall have the option, in its sole discretion to terminate the Agreement and User will forfeit all payments previously made to CCCB, and shall remain liable for all rental fees and other expenses including legal fees incurred, whether or not the event acutally occurs.
Agreement has to be signed at time of reservation payment is made.
Cancellation Policy
If the User cancels any time prior to the event date, a rain check will be issued to be used within one year of the reservation date. If the CCCB rep. must cancel this contract prior to the date of the event all rental fee and deposits will be refunded.
Refund Policy
Payment of the $200 damage/cleanup deposit is due two weeks prior to using the shelter unless arrangements are made with the CCCB rep. This may be refunded either in full or part, minus any expenses for damages, losses, cleaning expenses, carpet stain removal, late exit time (staying past 10:30 p.m.) or extraordinary maint. and repairs. Any charges in excess of the deposit will be billed to the User. Failure to make any attempts to pay additional costs will result in denial of future booking requests and possible litigation.
