    • I understand that dogs are only allowed with the payment of a $50 fee per reservation. All dogs must be leashed outside at all times.
    • I understand the minimum age to reserve the Inn is 21.
    • I understand that a damage security deposit must be received at the Dallas County Conservation Board Office, 14581 K Ave, Perry, IA 50220 after completing this reservation.
    • I understand that if I cancel the reservation, 50% of the rental fee will be returned only if the Dallas County Conservation Board is able to re-rent the facility for those same day.

    Rules

    •Dayton Stagecoach Inn check-in is at 3:00pm. Check-out is 11:00am.
    •See posted checklist at the Inn for check-out procedures and expectations.
    •Minimum age to make a reservation is 21 years old.
    •Keg beer is prohibited.
    •Dogs are only allowed inside the inn with the payment of a $50 fee per reservation. Dogs must remain on a leash, no longer than 6 feet long, while outside at all times. Please dispose of pet waste.
    •Smoking is prohibited indoors. Please dispose of litter resulting from smoking outside.
    •Trash must be removed by renters upon departure.
    •The driveway gate must remain closed but unlocked at all times during your stay.
    •DCCB reserves the right to enter the house for maintenance or security problems.
    •DCCB has the right to refuse rental privileges and rescind permits for cause.
    •All rules and regulations of DCCB and the State of Iowa apply.

    Refund Policy

    50% of the rental fee will be returned if the facility is re-rented for the same time period.

    Located along the old Des Moines to Fort Dodge stagecoach route, the Dayton Stagecoach Inn was built in 1868. The secluded 11 acres feature 150 year old oaks, access to Beaver Creek, and is only a few minutes’ drive to the High Trestle or Raccoon River Valley Trails. The Inn has been restored and developed into a historic site for tours, special programs, and overnight rentals. 

    Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 03:00 PM and check-out is before 11:00 AM.

    • From Perry, proceed east on Highway 141
    • Turn south on Highway 169 and proceed 1 mile
    • Turn east on 150th St and proceed approximately 2 miles.
    • Turn north on Pecos Court, which dead-ends at the Inn’s driveway.

    • Sleeps up to nine people in three separate bedrooms:
         *The Coachman Room on the first level has a single bed.
         *The Innkeeper Room on the second level has a queen bed.
         *The Bunk Room on the second level can sleep six on two bunkbeds, each with a lower double bed.
    • The grounds of the Inn feature a mowed walking path, wooden deck, fire ring and grill, and picnic area.
    Note: Showers allow ADA access, but the historic thick brick walls precluded the installation of wheelchair accessible doors. Bring your own bedding and toiletries.

    • $150 deposit check is required for reservations. If the Dallas County Conservation Board determines that regulations were not followed, the deposit may be forfeited. Following your stay and after passing an inspection, the deposit check will be shredded.
    • There is an additional, non-refundable $50 fee per reservation if you are bringing one or more dogs.
    • Online reservations must be made a minimum of 3 days prior to arrival. For example, a reservation for Friday must be made by the Tuesday prior.
    • To cancel reservation, call Dallas County Conservation Board at 515-465-3577. 50% of the rental fee will be returned if the facility is re-rented for the same time period.
    • Please note that payments made through mycountyparks.com will appear as from "Dallas County Treasurer".
