Shelter Schaben Park
Enjoy the view of the lake from this covered, open-sided shelter. This shelter houses six picnic tables, electricity, charcoal grill, water hydrant nearby and is perfect for family gatherings. There is a playground and restrooms nearby. Handicap accessible. At this time there are no online reservations, however, you can call Harrison County Conservation Board at 712-647-2785 to make a reservation. Please be advised there are no refunds for cancellations. Otherwise, shelter is available first come, first serve.
Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 06:00 AM and check-out is before 10:30 PM.
Location It is located 2 miles off Highway 30, between Woodbine and Dunlap on 141st Lane (gravel road).
Fees
Full day rental is $50.00 and half day rental is $30.00:
- Full day rental is 6:00 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
- Early half day rental is 6:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
- Late half day rental is 4:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.
- ONLINE RESERVATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.

Harrison County
Harrison County Conservation Board is located in the beautiful Loess Hills of western Iowa! There are 18 park and wildlife areas with almost 1,800 acres for outdoor recreation like camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, wildlife watching, picnicking and boating. The Willow Lake Recreation Area near Woodbine also has a campground, rental cabins, administration offices, and the new Willow Lake Nature Center. Another campground is located near Dunlap called Schaben Park. Stop by the Harrison County Historical Village near Missouri Valley to learn about agriculture, Native Americans, and the Lincoln Highway.
