The Morgan Creek Group Camp facilities provide great opportunities for youth groups or smaller family groups to reserve a primitive area at the park to have available for their group upon arrival. Group Camping is for groups of six people or more and that have a minimum of three camping units. This site is for tent camping only. 

Four picnic tables will be adjacent to two fire rings.

The shelter with six picnic tables and electricity is available for the group camp.



Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 03:00 PM and check-out is before 01:00 PM.

The Morgan Creek Group Camp has a new location! 

Group Camp has been moved farther to the north next to the shelter at 7001 Morgan Park Rd, Palo.  Reservations made after June 15th, 2022 will be at the new site.

Call Headquarters at 319.892.6450 to receive youth group rate. You may not receive the discount after making a reservation at full-price online. 


Hours of Operation & Seasons

Park hours are from 4 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Check-in time is after 3 p.m. on your day of arrival.  Checkout time is prior to 1 p.m. on your day of departure.
