Cattail Cabin is a one room cabin, with a 9' X 18' covered deck. This cabin was designed to be accessible by persons with disabilities. Each cabin also has a camping pad available for rental.
Cattail Cabin is available by reservation online and may be reserved up to two years in advance.
$75.00 per night, May 1 to October 15
A camp pad is available with each cabin at a cost of $23/night. The camp pad can be added during checkout. The camp pad rental must not exceed the number of nights in the cabin.
Two-night minimum
Three-night minimum for Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July, and Labor Day Weekend

CabinRental Agreement
Byyour agreement with terms and conditions, you represent that you are 21 yearsor older and that you are authorized to make a reservation on behalf of thegroup you have listed. You further agree to assume full responsibility for theacts, negligence or omissions of the members of your group while utilizing saidfacilities. Additionally, you agree that you have read and understand theCANCELLATION and REFUND POLICIES concerning this reservation, and have alsoread and understand the CABIN RENTAL AGREEMENT information.
Youare reserving a facility in a Lyon County Conservation Board Park, ALL COUNTYPARK RULES AND STATE LAWS ARE ENFORCED. Contact the Lyon County ConservationBoard Office at 712-472-2217 or lyonccb@lyoncountyiowa.com listed if you haveany questions about park rules, policies or special requests.
Failureto clean up the facility or surrounding area as outlined, or failure to complywith park rules or state laws may result in enforcement action. The Lyon CountyConservation Board may take any legal action necessary to recover damages tocounty property.
CHECK-IN TIME: Renters may check into the cabins at 3:00 pm
CHECK-OUT TIME:Renters are required to check out by 12:00 pm
PARKENTRANCEAllvehicles must pay a park entrance fee
CLEAN-UPYouare required to clean up the facility and grounds and return them to thecondition you received them. A cleaning list is posted inside the cabin. Planto have your facility cleaned and people departed prior to the scheduled 12:00checkout time. Paper towels, trash bag, broom, and cleaning agents will be available. It is notnecessary to check-out with a park ranger.
SMOKINGLyon Countyis a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings.
PARKINGParkingis confined to the designated parking areas. No parking or driving offroadways.
DIRECTIONALSIGNS & DECORATIONSTemporary,free standing directional signs are allowed – not to be attached to parkstructures, furniture, signposts or other facilities. Decorations are allowedas long as they are free standing or not affixed in any manner that woulddamage a facility or any painted walls (tape, tacks, nails, and staples cancause damage to walls). Special care should be taken with balloons so that theydo not escape and possibly injure wildlife.
REFUSEAllrefuse must be bagged and taken to the dumpsters provided in the area. Pleasedo not use the fire ring as a trash receptacle. Please do not burn trash.
CANCELLATIONPOLICYIfyou need to cancel a reservation, you will forfeit 100% of all reservation feespaid. All cancellations must be made by calling the Lyon County ConservationBoard Office at 712-472-2217.
REFUNDPOLICYAllreservations with the Lyon County Conservation Board facilities are final.Reservations are non-refundable, unless the following situations occur:1.The National Weather Service has issued severe winter weather conditions andadvised against travel.2. Weare unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable conditionfor the date of your event.Allrequests for refunds must be made by calling the Lyon County Conservation BoardOffice at 712-472-2217.
KEGBEERNokegs are allowed in the park.
TENTSAND CAMPERSSleepingtents and campers must have their own camp site located in the campground only.No sleeping tents are allowed in the cabin areas. Screen tents for picnictables, etc. are allowed at no charge.
LYONCOUNTY CONSERVATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ENTER CABINS IN THE CASE OFEMERGENCY, MAINTENANCE AND SECURITY PROBLEMS.INCASE OF EMERGENCY “ONLY”, AFTER HOURS, WEEKENDS, OR HOLIDAYS, CONTACT THE LYONCOUNTY SHERRIFF’S OFFICE AT 712-472-8300 OR LOCALY 911. They can page the ParkRanger on duty.
