Permits

• All Rules & Regulations of the Polk County Conservation Board are in effect.
• All laws of the State of Iowa are in effect.
• Special Event Permit Application must be completed for things such as dunk tanks; carnivals; erecting large tents; horse-drawn carriages; generators; power saws; chain saws; power tools of any kind; public address system whether fixed, portable or vehicular-mounted; inflatable bouncers; smoker grills; extra picnic tables; extra parking; or weddings.
• Special events require a 45 day prior approval.
• Special Event Permit Application can be found on our website at SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT
• For more information on special events please call the Conservation Office at (515) 323-5366, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
