Cabin 2 - 2-bedroom with loft Cabins 1 and 3- 2 bedroom
  • I understand and agree that if I make a change to my reservation, I will be charged $10 and the change modification must be requested a minimum of 30 days prior to the date of my reservation.
  • I understand and agree that 100% of my reservation fee is NONREFUNDABLE less than 30 days prior to my reservation date.

Cabin Rental Contract Agreement

By agreeing with these terms and conditions, you represent that you are 18 years or older (21 years or older if beer and/or wine are present) and that you are authorized to make the reservation on behalf of the group listed. You further agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence or omissions of the members of your group while using cabins. 

CHECK-IN TIME: After 4:00 PM on the day of arrival

CHECK-OUT TIME: By 11:00 AM on day of departure

GETTING INTO A CABIN
Your cabin’s front door will be programmed to accept the code that you selected at time of booking. Your email receipt has the number printed on it for your convenience. Please bring this number with you as we will not have staff at the cabin at check-in. 

GENERAL INFORMATION
• Limited cabin parking is available. See cabin description for number of spaces available and location. No vehicles are permitted on roadway or grass. Tents, RVs and trailers are not allowed at cabin site. 

• You are responsible for the actions of all persons visiting and/or staying at the facility.

• Violation of any state law or county regulation is cause for revocation of the renting privilege and the party may be required to leave the area, without refund.

• No rental party shall occupy any cabin for more than 14 days out of any 17-day period.

• Number of overnight persons should not exceed facility capacity.  

• No cabin shall be left unoccupied for more than 24 hours.

• Renters and visitors must avoid excessive noise at all times and maintain quiet hours of 10:00 pm - 9:00 am. 

FIREWOOD
Limited firewood will be provided. You may bring your own additional firewood if from Polk County, USDA certified, untreated dimensional lumber (2”x4”), local distributors with proper IDALS label. Additional firewood is available for purchase in the park. See cabin description for details.  

DIRECTIONAL SIGNS & DECORATIONS
Decorations and directional signs are not allowed.

CLEAN-UP & DAMAGES
• You are required to clean the facility and grounds and return them to the condition you received them.

• Plan to have your facility cleaned and people departed prior to your scheduled checkout time.

• Renters are required to fulfill requirements specified on Checkout Sheet prior to departure. A cleaning fee of $75 per hour will be charged if the facility is not left in the condition you received it.

• Repair of any damage not caused by normal wear and tear will be charged to the renter.

• Failure to pay the fee will result in further action to collect the debt.

REFUSE
• Trash in and around your cabin must be picked up and placed in the dumpster prior to your departure.

• Trash bags are provided. For additional trash bags contact the park ranger.

VISITORS
All visitors must depart the area by park closing time.

SMOKING
PCCB is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited in the cabins and on surrounding deck area.

PARKING
• Parking is confined to designated parking areas.

• If you anticipate more vehicles than spaces provided, please contact the park ranger in advance.

• No parking or driving off roadways.

ALCOHOL
Keg beer and liquor are prohibited in or around cabins.

PETS
Pets are prohibited in some cabins. In cabins where pets are permitted, a nonrefundable pet fee must be paid at time of reservation. See cabin description for details. 

SPECIAL PROVISIONS
• Nearby shelters are available for large group activities. For information and reservations visit www.mycountyparks.com

• Use of any amplified radio, television, stereo, or musical instrument is NOT allowed outside the cabin.

• Tents, canopies, generators, power saws, chain saws, power tools are NOT allowed in the cabin area.

• No candles are allowed in or around cabins.

• Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of your facility reservation without refund.

RESERVATION MODIFICATIONS (INCLUDING DATE CHANGE)
• Name of person on contract will be the only person who can make modifications to the rental reservation.

• All reservation modifications must be made by calling the PCCB office at 515-323-5300.

• In order to make any modification to an existing reservation, the request must be made a minimum of 30 days prior to the date on which the facility is reserved.

• Any modifications you make to an existing reservation will be assessed a $10 change fee.

• If the modification is a change in cabin and the cost of the cabin to which you are changing to rents at a higher fee, you will be asked to pay the difference in rental cost. If the cost of the cabin to which you changing to rents at a lesser fee, you forfeit the difference in rental cost.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations cannot be done on the website and must be made by calling the PCCB office at 515-323-5300 a minimum of 30 days prior to the date on which the facility is reserved to qualify for partial refund (see refund policy). 

Youth Group Rules

Not available for youth groups.

Refund Policy

  • If you cancel more than 30 days prior to the date on which the facility is reserved, 50% of your cabin reservation is NON-REFUNDABLE.

  • If you cancel less than 30 days prior to the date on which the facility is reserved, 100% of facility reservation is NON-REFUNDABLE.
    •    
  • If a facility reservation is cancelled by PCCB due to a natural disaster or if by some means the facility is unusable, a full refund will be issued to the person that made the original reservation.
    •    
  • Refunds will be issued to name on reservation.  

Construction has been delayed.

Three modern cabins are under construction at Yellow Banks Park which will provide opportunities for families to enjoy Yellow Banks Park who are unable or less inclined to camp. The cabins will feature amenities such as a kitchen, restroom with shower, and modern household furnishings. Other amenities to the cabin site will include BBQ grills outside, and a fire-pit gathering area for families. The two cabins with two-bedrooms accommodates six guests (4 on main level and 2 in basement); and the one two-bedroom cabin with loft accommodates 8 guests (4 on main, 2 in loft, 2 in basement).

Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 04:00 PM and check-out is before 11:00 AM.

Cabins 1 and 3 (Two-Bedroom Cabin Sleeps 6)

ADA accessible main level (20 ft. x 26 ft.) with 1 queen bedroom and 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds. Basement has 2 twin beds.

Bedding provided however, no change of linens will be provided during your stay.

Cabin 2 (Two-Bedroom Cabin with Loft Sleeps 8)

ADA accessible main level (18 ft. x 24 ft.) with 2 queen bedrooms and 2 twin beds in loft. Basement has 2 ​twin beds.

Bedding provided however, no change of linens will be provided during your stay. 

A modern bathroom with shower (ADA accessible) on main level. An additional bathroom is in the basement.

Toilet tissue and towels provided.  No change of towels during your stay. Please plan accordingly.

Soap, shampoo, and other toiletries are not provided.      

Kitchen (modern ADA accessible)

Full refrigerator, electric stove/oven, above-range microwave, coffee maker, toaster, limited pots, pans and cooking utensils, and dining table with table service for 6 or 8.

Food, condiments and dish detergent are not provided.

Large deck with limited deck furniture overlooks Oakview Pond.

Gas fireplace in living room.

Heating/air conditioning throughout.

Outside patio has picnic table, small ADA fire ring and grill at each cabin. Limited firewood provided. Additional firewood is available for purchase at for a small fee at campground fee booth during posted times.  

Parking limited to 2 vehicles per cabin. RVs, trailers and boats not allowed in parking.

Wi-Fi is not available in the cabin area.


RENTER WILL NEED TO BRING:
Toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc. are not provided).
Food, dish soap, charcoal for grill, games, folding chairs, personal items, flashlights, extra towels and bedding, etc. as needed. Candles are NOT allowed.

Fees

RATES AND RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Cabins 1 and 3  $115/nt. (tax included); 2 night minimum; (Friday and Saturday night must be booked together); Maximum stay is 14 nights.

Cabins 2  $150/nt. (tax included); 2 night minimum; (Friday and Saturday night must be booked together); Maximum stay is 14 nights. 

Cabin rentals must have an advanced reservation. All fees paid in full at time of booking. Reservations are be made online at least five days ahead and may be made up to two years in advance. For reservations within five days of stay, please contact our office.

AGREEMENT ACCEPTED AT TIME OF BOOKING contains renter responsibilities, cancellation and refund restrictions, and park conduct information. Renter will be responsible for damages beyond normal wear. Renter must be at least 18 years of age and present at the facility for entire reservation period.

NO KEG BEER or LIQUOR allowed. If beer or wine is present at the facility, renter must be 21 years of age or older and present.

Hours of Operation & Seasons

Cabins are available for reservations year around. Check-in time after 4:00 p.m. p.m., checkout by 11:00 a.m. Early arrivals and late departures are not allowed.

Summer Hours (April 1 -October 31) | 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Winter Hours (November 1 - March 31) | Sunrise to sunset

After hours: Park Ranger may stop vehicles and request name of the registered party and cabin number.
