Full Moon Snowshoe Hike
JAN 13 2025 5:00 PM
Event Summary
Have you ever been snowshoeing? It is an enjoyable winter activity. Enjoy a snowshoe walk along the trails at Prairie Creek Recreation Area on Monday, January 13 at 5:00 PM.
The initial full moon of a calendar year has been nicknamed the Wolf Moon, but some people call it the Ice Moon, or even the Moon after Yule. Regardless of the name, let’s hope for clear skies and let the moon guide us along the trails.
This event is free and open to the public. Snowshoes are provided. Advance registration is required by Friday, January 10 at 4:00 PM if you plan to borrow snowshoes. Dress for the weather. Meet at the Prairie Creek Pavilion, 1215 East Summit Street, Maquoketa, Iowa.
If no snow, we will still go for a Full Moon Hike.
