The Delaware County Conservation Board welcomes you to enjoy and spend leisure time in scenic northeast Iowa. They manage 28 individual parks, wildlife areas, historic sites and river accesses - encompassing some 2,265 acres. Utilizing the rugged beauty that nature has provided, our parks feature high limestone bluffs, sloping forest lands, winding trout streams and scenic views of the Maquoketa River Valley. You will find a tremendous variety of outdoor recreational opportunities available which makes the enjoyment of the outdoors possible for people of all ages and interests. Activities available within areas managed by the Delaware County Conservation Board include the following: nature exhibits, programing, camping, canoe and kayaking, hunting, Iowa's best trout fishing, hiking and much more!

Facilities in Delaware County

OPENING / CLOSING DATES - All recreation areas, parks, and natural areas remain open all year. However, facilities are closed to vehicle traffic and allow only walk-in access during the late fall and winter season. Campgrounds are usually open from mid-April through mid-October. 

Camping fees are $25 for water/electric sites (A sites) - $20 for electric sites (B sites) - $15 for primitive (C sites). Select your site and set up, self registration is to be done within 1 hour at the Information kiosk .  We accept cash or good check, NO debit or credit cards.

 

We do not take reservations all sites are on a first come first serve.
